Clermont Club is regulated and licensed by the UK gambling commission and holds an Operating Licence. Clermont Club is also a registered Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration no.A8467987. As a customer of Clermont Club, we collect: Name, address, date of birth, sex, nationality, photographic ID (Government-issued), employment details, wealth details, any adverse history (open source), bank account and debit card details, visits, transactions, buy-ins and results because processing this data is necessary for compliance with legal obligations under the Money Laundering Regulations (2017) and the Gambling Act (2005).

We also collect information regarding gambling-related problems as a duty of care we hold with you, as obliged by the Gambling Act (2005) and as a condition of Clermont Club maintaining a licence for gambling, something we are obliged to maintain to operate the casino within UK legislation.

  • Lloyds Cardnet – debit card machine which allows customers to withdraw funds from their account:

  • SENSE – Self-Enrolment National Self-Exclusion Scheme used by all casinos in the UK to help prevent access to casinos for customers who have self-excluded because of gambling-related problems: www.nationalcasinoforum.co.uk/sense-2

Your personal data will be stored by us for a period for five years after we no longer provide you with casino access or membership. We are required to do this by the Money Laundering Regulations (2017). Once this period has passed, we will delete your data electronically or via a shredding and confidential disposal process for paper copies.

If we have made any errors with your data, you have the right to have the data corrected. As we are a busy casino, we will need you to prove to us that you are the person who is requesting a change to personal data.

If you believe that we have failed to provide you with the necessary protections for your personal data, you may contact your Supervisory Authority for data protection; in the case of the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), available on www.ico.org.uk or via telephone on 0303 123 1113. We are committed to protecting your personal data; we will do this by using locked filing cabinets accessible only by management, we will use encrypted emails and we will limit and encrypt access to the customer software databases. In addition, we also use up-to-date computer systems and update our anti-virus software regularly, as dictated by the software manufacturer.

GDPR gives you the right to access information held about you, under the ‘Right of Access’, Article 15, subject to certain statutory exceptions and limitations.

In compliance with the GDPR, we will provide the information requested to which you are entitled promptly and no later than one month of the receipt of the request.

CCTV is used throughout the casino premises and surrounding area for maintaining the security of the premises and for preventing and investigating crime, cheating and regulatory breaches. It may also be used to monitor staff when carrying out work duties.

The Personal Information collected and processed about you may, therefore, include visual images, personal appearance and behaviour. You may at any time request a copy of your Personal Information held by Clermont Club in accordance with subject access rules in the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
